Te Ngaere is 8 km from Maturi Bay on the Matauri-Whangaroa coastal loop.

 Te Ngaere Bay is the ultimate place to enjoy beach-front living

Quiet and secluded, with golden sand stretching from one end of the bay to the other and rock pools at low tide. The beach is safe for swimming and sheltered in rough seas. 

Bring the family and enjoy a picnic.

A haven for boaters with easy launching from the beach or stream Te Ngaere is a great place to go fishing, explore the rock pools, or to snorkel for a holiday brunch!

This is the 'food basket' for the Ngaitupango Maori.
